Bank of England base rate change
On 18 December 2025, the Bank of England base rate decreased from 4.00% to 3.75%.
Venezuela earthquake appeal
Two catastrophic earthquakes have hit Venezuela and the scale of destruction is huge. DEC charities are working with their local partners to reach people with emergency aid and support search and recovery efforts. The Co-operative Bank and Coventry Building Society are supporting the appeal and raising funds to help.
